Yes, Chef
A one-act play performed only once by the Vancouver Island University’s Satyr Players for their One-Act festival in 2019. This is their description.
When the young, fiery Jack becomes the new replacement Head Chef, his ego, skills, and leadership are put to the test in a kitchen of diverse cooks.
I have audio of the performance and the script as submitted available. It continues to be the most left-field and hilarious thing I’ve pulled off. I have zero recollection of writing the one-act version of Yes, Chef as I was probably hammered. I do recall the insanity of witnessing complete strangers act out your work, and the relief that they did a wonderful job.
I have since expanded this into a feature-length screenplay with a much different premise that will likely never see the light of day.
