This is the sequel to No Bummer Summer, something we talked about doing for years and off-and-on shot for since 2022. I sourced most of this from group chats, our collective iCloud folders, my own artful attempt at making one for 2022, and Sean Rea’s GoPro (he’s responsible for most of 2024 and 2025).
This is not a big movie. It’s a “D2YT” joint; not for festivals nor public screenings. It’s meant to be enjoyed by those involved first and then maybe be something to inspire people with more exciting worldviews or lives to weaponize their own iCloud creatively and, maybe, its a little window into what the lads are like with as little bowdlerization as possible; the good, the bad, and the drunken. I like it most as a ‘vibes based’ editing practice, and I like it as an archival document for my pals and I.
In the Land of Fish and Honey
November 2nd 2025
Fictional Feature
Dir. John Ledingham and JP Meldrum
Theatrical
John and I’s first fictional feature together - hot off the heels of his debut solo feature Search for Gold (which I happened to be in as well!). Its about a wordless man searching Victoria far-and-wide for fish and honey - based on a reoccuring dream. I grew a ridiculous beard for it. Its an ‘indie drama’, an ‘atmospheric diy’ film, and a 'regional horror’ joint all wrapped into one. I started this movie two times over, and I’m so happy we got it across the finish line. Special thanks to Motern Media for the gas to get it done.
Fish and Honey has screened in Victoria, Vancouver, Melbourne (at BUFF), and in Toronto. It will be publically available before 2027.
The Promised End
December 3rd 2024
“Reality Film”
Dir. John Ledingham and JP Meldrum
Theatre / DVD / YouTube
A film documenting my radio DJ life and preparation for a live performance of a show with Maxwell Paterson. Part concert film, part doc, part farce. A celebration and, maybe, a vanity project, cherishing a decade of a vernacularly creative life. Shot on DSLRs and iPhones. It came together as a feature on accident and on the fly. On December 4th 2024, I rented out the Cinecenta to debut it along with Matt Farley’s seminal Local Legends as a DIY movies-about-struggling-with-intuitionally-unvalidated creativity double feature. I made twenty or so DVDs, but there all gone. Might do a Search for Gold / Promised End extended cut blu-ray down the road.
No Bummer Summer
2018
“Reality Film”
Dir. Sean Rea, Vincent Crawford, and JP Meldrum

A film about having a no bummer summer. Documented over the summer of 2017. Part doc, part fiction. Edited by me, shot by everyone, conceived by Vinnie and I, frame deviced by Sean Rea, and starring a gaggle of the boys. Shot on a handheld DV camera I got for my eleveth birthday. A time capsule and tribute to male comradery and youthfulness.
